Headed out to the city tonight due to boredom. I actually spent a fair whack of time trying to recover images from my CF card after I accidently shift-deleted a whole set accidently (Sandisk RescuePRO is my savior). Here is a quick shot of a friend at Treasury Place on the top of Collins St in Melbourne. A bit of a Dustin Diaz inspiration here with the Bokeh.
Strobist:
430EX camera left 1/8th @ 80mm, triggered by cybersyncs. Placed about 45 degrees and 2m from subject. Camera to subject is about another 3m.
Lunchtime today was a little different. Went down to the Albert Park Driving Range and smacked some balls..Needless to say, I am hopeless and am hoping to improve with some hints and tips from my colleague shown mid swing here in this shot.
Was in Melbourne tonight roaming around Southbank, captured the facial expression of this kid…priceless.
Adds a bit of mystery to the image.
40 degrees in Melbourne today. Sweltering. I got the usual “Slurpee” text tonight and we went down to the local 7/11 store to pick up some chilled coolness. This little grasshopper decided to come along for the ride, resting at the top of the windscreen of the S2000 with it’s roof down. It even stayed for the ride home…
I somehow handheld this shot .. 5sec @ 5.6 ISO 1600. Taken up near Essendon in Melbourne, Australia – Backyards everywhere had their own fireworks going. One of the best weather New Year Eve’s we’ve had for a long time! Hope everyone had a good night.
The start of the 366 project…
I’m going to attempt to take a photo every day this year.
Could be challenging. I’ll post up a few on here, but otherwise all the action will in my flickr page, in this set.
So to start off, here we go.
