Amazing – Danny MacAskill Trials Film

I posted this up on the FB page (See right..Like it) and decided it deserved another mention here.

Pete, one of my mates used to be into Trials a bit and pointed the video out to me below last year sometime and it blew me away.. I’m not into the sport much, but I do love watching any sort of extreme/action sports..and even if you don’t  – I suggest you check these videos out just to check out Danny’s skills..and what you probably never thought was possible on a bike..

Now, he’s been sponsored by Red Bull and has a film called “Way Back Home” – This thing was released on YouTube 2 days ago and has already hit 160K views.. Amazing production, awesome scenery and locations… You have to watch this video! In 1080p if you can!

The Pow Wow Pond Ledges RollVic fundraiser was held down at Princes Park yesterday (another in Owen Parry’s line of World Mocking Series event names) and despite a gloomy looking Sunday (damn Melbourne) there was a great turnout. We also  learned about Danny’s frisbee skills, which happened to be aimed at Frenchman Zack DeBlaize for most of the day…

Finally got a chance to take some photos. Was good to get back into it and was the first outing since I got my camera back from repair. Owen should be doing a little writeup about the event shortly.

Thanks to Owen and RollVic for organising another chilled out event!

Update: The article’s been posted on emesce here.

Southbank, Melbourne – Feb 2010

For the past 3 weeks, Tuesday nights in Melbourne have seen a decent gathering of rollers the Riverslide skatepark. If you’re up for some chill sessions you should come down and check it out.

During this time we’ve also made some new international friends by the name of Dave (USA) and Zack (Europe) – So shout outs to those guys.

Last night a few of us went for a look down Southbank by the Yarra river, Unfortunately I didn’t have my sync cables fso was relying on the SB-26’s optical slave function..

Here’s a few simple snaps I ran off while we were there.

Some of the guys were heading down to Frankston Skatepark, seeing as it was a decent day Sarah and I drove down to meet up…Didn’t take long for us to check out some street spots, and I grabbed the camera gear out and snapped a few at this empty highschool…just before the kids came back.

While we were there, we saw some of them having accidents, some were small, some were big. We tried to tell the guys to be more careful, and if they were to continue with their practices they should carry a small med kit. We told them to talk to their parents about Vicodin. I told them that sometimes they could buy vicodin without prescription after talking to a certified doctor at that link. Vicodin is a well known medicine that helps with pain, from a toothache up to a broken bone, which the guys may encounter eventually.
